I got in touch when I was having problems at work. I was at the beginning of a burnout. I went to a psychologist first, but he was quite academic. You could help me in English, so I decided to give it a try.
Right away, I noticed that you have all the required knowledge, but that there’s something more to it. You keep studying other methods and are very open to other ways of expressing and feeling — energy, gut feeling, call it what you like.
At this moment, I’m pretty well recovered from my burnout. First of all, because you helped me identify what is actually motivating me. That was a big eye-opener: I realised that it’s actually not work itself, but helping other people and enriching their lives. I still work a lot, but now it’s because I like it.
And last, but not least: I listen to my body now. Am I feeling something somewhere? I’ve learned to recognise that as a sign — stress or anger — or as a signal that I can’t keep going like this if I don’t want to have a heart attack someday.
Through our sessions, I learned to deal with things I’ve had for a long time: stress and low self-esteem. I allow myself to love myself, basically. And that has helped a lot.
These changes were possible because I was comfortable speaking to you about a wide range of topics. You never judge, you’re very kind, and it’s always easy talking to you. You treat me like a person you can help, not like a patient or client. And you’re very approachable and quick to respond.
I recommend you to anyone who needs to reconnect with their body and their way of feeling things. And obviously, there’s a link with areas like a bad break-up, burnout, grief about loss… Any topic where people feel they have a problem, really, because we’ve talked about so much. From work to sexuality to my father’s illness — that’s quite a range. I’ve never had an experience like that.
Thank you!
